Adrian Ramsay vs Charles Clarke in glorious colour!
01 January 2010
It's not often I get the chance to work with a team I like as much as the Norwich South Green Party campaign.
Press officer Chris Williams and candidate Adrian Ramsay are both brilliant at everything, as far as I can tell. Whether that's organising a crack team of canvassers and getting them on the streets in all weathers, or putting together a compelling case for Adrian being the closest challenger to sitting MP (and former scary Home Secretary) Charles Clarke.
They've clearly got him rattled, as his latest efforts at undermining the Labour leadership show.
Anyway, on the ground in Norwich, all the signs are that the Green Party are now seen as the credible choice for Parliament, not just for the Council where they've been building up support steadily over the past 7 years. Since then, when Adrian was first elected with a group of just three, they've built up 18 councillors in the constituency and beaten all the other parties in local elections three years running, so the smart money (including several of my own finest English pounds) is on Adrian to cause a major upset this year.
Here's my contribution to the cause. Made with Flash, very much in the style of the 'Stop Nick Griffin' video I made last year, it includes the voice talents of former ITV reporter John Francis, delivering a script by Chris and Adrian.
I hope it gets a lot of viewers and convinces the voters of Norwich to give Adrian their support this time... enjoy!
